Moving in Agoura Hills
Agoura Hills is a separate city in the eastern Conejo Valley, between the Simi Hills and the Santa Monica Mountains, less than ten miles west of Woodland Hills. Its neighbors are Calabasas, Oak Park, Westlake Village and Bell Canyon. Ladyface Mountain rises on its west side, and the city calls itself the gateway to the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
The area grew after the Ventura Freeway was built through it, which divides Agoura Hills into north and south halves. Early tracts included Hillrise, Liberty Canyon and Lake Lindero, and much of the rest was built in the 1980s.

North or south of the 101

Oak Park is an unincorporated area in Ventura County right next door. A move between them crosses a county line, which matters for parking rules.

Moves east to the Valley follow the 101. A morning start avoids the eastbound commute.
Parking and permits in Agoura Hills
Agoura Hills is a separate city, not part of the City of Los Angeles, so its own city parking rules apply within limits set by state law. Next door in Oak Park, Ventura County rules apply instead, so a move between the two crosses jurisdictions. A city ban on commercial vehicles of 10,000 pounds or more in a residential district does not apply, under state law, to a vehicle making pickups or deliveries of goods for a building on that street.
