Moving in Tarzana
Tarzana is named for Tarzan. It grew from the ranch that author Edgar Rice Burroughs bought in 1919. The neighborhood runs from Victory Boulevard south to Topanga State Park, and from Lindley Avenue west to Corbin Avenue, with Encino on the east and Woodland Hills on the west.
South of Ventura Boulevard the land rises into the Santa Monica Mountains and the streets wind up toward the park. North of the boulevard are flatter blocks of single-family homes. Ventura Boulevard itself has condo and apartment buildings.
